| General Business Terms of MCN AG |
| The following General Business Terms apply to users of the internet based services of MCN AG, Nuremberg, as well as to all resulting informal and contractual relations with users and clients. |
| Data protection information |
| MCN AG acknowledges that the Data Protection Regulations must be observed.
This declaration informs you regarding the steps we are taking to ensure that
your rights are maintained. We consider your personal data to be your details as recorded in our forms, e.g. your e-mail and postal address, as well as all application and confirmation information relating to you. By using our page and registering for one of our events, you thereby give your consent that your personal data will be collected and stored in our databases. We will enforce appropriate precautionary measures to ensure the safety, intactness and confidentiality of your personal data. The data are used by MCN AG to provide the the services that you have requested. The data may also be used to inform you of forthcoming events similar to those for which you have previously registered with us. By availing of these services from MCN AG you thereby agree that your address may be used in this manner. The protection of personal data is of great concern to MCN AG. Consequently, you must know which data we store and for what purpose they are used. As a company under private law we are subject to the stipulations of the Federal Data Protection Law (BDSG). We have taken technical and organisational measures to ensure that the data protection regulations are observed both by us, and by external service providers commissioned by us. All data entered by clients (address data, credit card data, account information, etc.) are automatically encrypted (SSL, 128-bit) as they are transmitted to MCN AG. |
| Registration of participation |
| At the end of your booking you can print out a record of the booking operation.
We will instantly send you a booking confirmation by e-mail that is electronically
generated , but this is not yet legally binding. A binding confirmation of reservation/invoice will be sent in writing through the postal service.
If you have not received a reservation confirmation within 3 weeks, then please
contact us directly (tel/fax/e-mail). The participant hereby agrees that the data supplied relating to his/her person are stored by way of data processing under due consideration of the relevant Data Protection Law. This consent can be withdrawn at any time. |
| No guarantee shall be assumed for changes in programmes and for postponements of events. Organizer reserves the right to change the time or the venue of events or parts thereof (workshops, seminars, courses etc.). This shall also entail the cancellation of individual program points. This shall not result in the right to withdrawal for the attendees. Claims to damages therefrom shall be ruled out. Organizer engages to notify the attendees immediately after obtaining knowledge of necessary changes. Organizer shall further not be liable for the presence of announced speakers. Failure to attend shall not mean that a claim to damages of any kind shall accrue to the attendee. Organizer shall endeavour to make remedy by adequate replacement. The current status of the speakers can be seen from the online publication with the limitation of a period of one week before the start of the event. Later amendments shall no longer be possible online for technical reasons. Over and above this, the claim to damages for defective, non-existent or incomplete publications in the printed matter or on the homepage of the congress shall be ruled out. |
| Submitting abstracts |
| MCN AG is not responsible for the contents of abstracts. Compensation for incorrect or incomplete publications, as well as impairments caused by EDP technical influences, are hereby excluded. |
| Room capacities |
| The number of participants is limited by the capacities of the halls/rooms booked for the event. With the exception of separately booked seminars/workshops/courses, we cannot exclude the possibility that certain events open to permanent-card or day-card holders may reach their capacity attendance. There is no legal right to attendance, nor is there any entitlement to any reduction of participation fees! |
| Concluding stipulations |
| In the event that elements of these Business Terms become ineffective, then this will not affect the overall effectiveness of the Contract or the remaining business terms. |
